Here's the "View From The Bridge"... maps of Zion National Park feature an autumn version of this scene as do signs at Canyon Junction in the park itself.  Not everybody knew where to go to see this view, but  plenty of people were lining up towards sunset on the bridge over the Virgin River to get "the shot".  I was not impressed with the sunset scene.  The light was too harsh, the sun too high and too far north in the sky, it wasn't autumn with that magic golden light and a buttery cottonwood to provide contrast to the red rocks.  I photographed the late Spring scene in the afternoon and, for me, the light was perfect.

Dancing Trees, 16"x20", oil, $300--these trees are on a trail-less aspen-covered ridge to the east of Brainard Lake and west of Duck Lake in western Boulder County.
The Sun Shower, 16"x20", oil, $300--here's a picture of The Mesa Trail just north of the Skunk Creek Canyon drainage.  The blue mountain on the left is "Dinosaur Mountain", the pinkish summit in the middle is called "Sacred Cliffs" and the notched cliff to the right is "Satan's Slab", all named by Boulder's intrepid rock-climbing community, and visible from our living room window in south Boulder.
